Product Checker

Answer the shelf question where it is asked.

Scan a product with a configured handheld to check its selling price, supported promotion and available stock context. The result is read-only and deliberately leaves supplier cost out.

A demonstration first. A scoped subscription proposal before configuration.

The question it answers

Give colleagues a clear answer without exposing cost.

A price or promotion question often starts beside the shelf. Product Checker brings the customer-facing facts from connected product records to the handheld, while keeping sensitive supplier cost and margin information out of this module.

The workflow

See how the work fits together.

01 / Scan

Read the product barcode.

Use the configured handheld scanner, an offered camera option or manual barcode entry. A scan checks one product and does not change its record.

02 / Identify

Confirm the product.

The result shows the matched product and barcode. See when a product cannot be found or the connection needs attention.

03 / Answer

Check selling price and promotion.

See the current selling price and a supported promotion where the connected POS provides one. Product Checker does not edit either value.

04 / Add context

Review the available stock answer.

Where the connected records provide stock context, use it alongside the price. An unknown value stays unknown rather than appearing as zero.

Connected handover

Follow a quick answer with the full history.

On a device granted both modules, the result can open Product History with the same barcode. Access is set by an owner or admin because the history includes supplier costs.

Fit and limits

Know what needs to be in place.

  • Product Checker is read-only. It does not change shelf labels, prices, promotions or stock.
  • It shows selling price, supported promotions and available stock context, not supplier cost or margin.
  • Results depend on the device grant, product match and connected data that are available for the shop.

Questions for a useful demo

  • Which colleagues need to answer price and promotion questions on the shop floor?
